The Social Centres and Social Life Spaces involved in the Picard Countries project invest in digital inclusion and in the fight against illectronism by being places of appropriation of digital issues for their users of all ages, as well as for their professionals and volunteers. The challenge of this project is to use digital technology as a lever for the development and requalification of inhabitants, also to offer all users access to and training in digital uses. The areas addressed are access to rights, education and prevention around digital technology, the new uses of digital technology and the evolution of the practices of employees and volunteers on these issues. The COVID-19 health crisis has further revealed the weight of this digital divide in the unequal generational distribution of digital knowledge, differentiated network services in rural areas, and limited access to IT equipment for digitally insecure audiences. The Fédération des Centres Sociaux et Socio-Culturels des Pays Picards is therefore coordinating a second phase of the project on the territory, now involving 46 structures (social centres and Social Life Space) spread over all the departments of Aisne, Oise and Somme.
