The Cap Excellence agglomeration community carries out work on the wastewater systems in the Pointe d’Or sector. This network consists of cement asbestos pipes laid in the bed of the Pointe d’Or ravine. Many defects are present on this wastewater sewerage network with: • strong intrusions of permanent parasitic clear water; the wastewater master plan recommends the abandonment of the system installed in the ravine on both sides. These intrusions come mainly from the dilapidation of these pipes. • an undersising of certain sections of the Eastern part network (in Ø 150 mm or even in Ø 125 mm). • its positioning in the Pointe d’Or ravine, makes the network almost inaccessible with the means necessary for its maintenance • due to the gradual urbanisation of the district some looks are found inside fenced private plots
