COMPENSATION FOR OVERCROWDING AND AID FOR THE TRANSPORT OF WASTE/EXPORT OF FIRST SECONDARY MATERIALS FROM WASTE FOR THE 2021-2022 PERIOD OF THE COMPANY MARTINIQUE RECYCLING

Created in 2002, the subsidiary of the SEEN Group, Martinique Recyclage operates a tri-conditioning-export centre for packaging and materials recoverable in Martinique. Located in Ducos, the centre has a sorting capacity of 12000 tons per year of waste. In addition, the company operates a locally valued glass grinding platform in public works in partnership with CITEO since October 2011 in Fort De France. However, the waste resulting from this activity does not fall within the scope of this application since the glass is recovered locally in Martinique in public works (remblais, excavations, concrete...). The waste accepted and handled by Martinique Recyclage is non-dangerous waste such as WEEE outside the REP sector, filmed laminated glass and windscreens. The request for Freight Aid concerns the export of Martinique Recyclage waste to recovery/treatment centres in the European Union and outside existing REP sectors and for which recovery or treatment is not possible locally The sorted waste is stored in alveoli before being packed in bales for export in containers to recovery centres. The operation therefore consists of taking into account the costs of handling and freight for the export of non-hazardous waste and the importation of materials for packaging waste in bales.
