The European Metropolis of Lille pays particular attention to the movement of pedestrian and cycling modes in view of the objectives of the Urban Travel Plan adopted in 2011. Following the period of the health crisis, and the recommended distancing measures, cycling increased. The metropolitan cycling scheme of the MEL has highlighted the interest and the need to have a safe and legible cycle route on the Rue de la Chaude Rivière in Lille which is a hard point to raise in terms of safe and comfortable cycling network. The work consists of creating a cycle path to create a cycle continuity between the existing track on Willy Brandt Avenue and the existing cycling facilities at the end of Chaude Rivière Street, a linear approximately one kilometre. This work will make it possible to comfort and encourage travel in soft fashions on the Lille sector.
