Dijon Métropole continues the requalification and pedestrianisation of the city centre of Dijon, the regional capital of Burgundy-Franche-Comté, by creating an ecological corridor between the Arquebuse Garden and the International City of Gastronomy and Wine, through the development of the Rue du Jardin des Plantes. This operation is part of the construction, co-financed by the Feder, of the bridge linking the multimodal pole of avenue Albert 1er, at the exit of Dijon train station, to the garden of the Arquebuse, an exceptional landscaped and educational complex that extends over nearly 6 hectares in the heart of Dijon. The materials chosen for the coating of this new meeting area and the landscaping carried out will promote the development of gentle modes of travel, while strengthening the urban identity of Dijon and meeting the objectives of improving the attractiveness of the Dijon metropolis, combating global warming, developing biodiversity and reducing air pollution.
