Mossé Square and its surroundings are among the most emblematic places in the city of Nevers. Directly located at the entrance of the city, it is an important visual marker, making the link between the old district of the city ducale and the quays of Loire. However, its assets, both heritage and natural, suffer from the omnipresence of the car and thus its lack of ownership by the Neversois. The objective of this redevelopment project is to give back to this space its vocation as a place of life and to make it a privileged place of passage, allowing a revitalisation of the neighborhood, beneficial to the various surrounding shops. The future development of the square will allow for a greater opening of the site and a redirection of road traffic to the benefit of pedestrian paths. The materials will be renovated and more qualitative, for a better enhancement of the surrounding heritage building. The plant presence will be made more consistent with the uses of the site.
