An agricultural methanisation unit of 200Nm3/h of biomethane is planned in Fléville-Lixières (54) to operate here next year. The renewable gas produced by the unit will be injected into the GRDF network. The unit is legally owned by SAS Lixières Biogaz comprising 3 associated with the capital. Other farmers, all within a 6 km radius, will bring materials to the unit, mainly livestock manure. The unit will process 85.3T inputs per day, including livestock manure for more than 60 %, intermediate CIVE crops, dedicated crop silages, straw and straw to produce biomethane and digestate. Digestate will be used as a natural organic fertiliser in partial substitution to synthetic nitrogen fertilisers. It will be valued on the agricultural land of the 6 farms providing materials.
