The departmental council of Meurthe and Moselle has been designated as the project manager for 4 Natura 2000 sites: FR4100177 ZSC Gites de la Colline Inspirée, maples and lawn of Vandeléville, FR4100233 ZSC Vallées du Madon, du Brénon and quarry of Xeuilley, FR4100238 ZSC Vallée de la Meurthe de La Voivre (88) in Saint Clément (54), bog of the Basse Saint Jean FR4100178 ZSC Valley of the Moselle of the Fond de Monvaux in the valley of the Deuille, former powder mill of Bois sous Roche. It thus wishes to ensure consistency with departmental competence in the area of environmental preservation, namely the policy of Sensitive Natural Spaces. A technician was recruited to carry out animation missions on these sites. On the other hand, it deals with the administrative management of the four presidencies of the Natura 2000 Steering Committee. The objectives of these four sites concern both fauna and flora species and their habitats: Beaver of Europe, Yellow-bellied sounder, Fine-bodied Cordulie, Palud Azure, Colchiques meadow chiroprae, scrubbers and lawns, wetlands and forest areas and water quality. The set of management tools proposed by Natura 2000 will be used to achieve the best conservation status of these species and their habitats.
