Obesity today affects nearly 8 million people in France and is on the rise. According to the League Against Obesity, in 2020, more than one million people would be affected by massive obesity in our country. Recognised as a chronic disease, it requires management adapted to the severity of the pathology. Bariatric surgery, intended to surgically treat large obese, has developed very rapidly in France for more than twenty years. However, this method is not insignificant and requires comprehensive and multidisciplinary medical care of the patient before and after the operation. Moreover, the COVID crisis that started in early 2020 has undermined our healthcare system, and public spending needs to be optimised in the years to come. With a view to improving the care of patients but also in order to meet the challenges of post-covid facilities, the CHRU of Nancy is allied with Pharmagest, an industry experienced in the field of medical computing and remote surveillance. The solution developed is intended to improve the management of the patient pre and post bariatric surgery. It will help manage, at constant means, a larger volume of patients who are at a severe stage of obesity. It also relies on digital uses and health applications.
