Pursuant to law n°2015-992 of 17 August 2015 on the energy transition for green growth, SIMOUV elected representatives decided, by deliberations of the trade union committees of 22 June and 20 October 2021 to adopt the strategy for the renewal of the rolling stock via the acquisition of 56 vehicles powered by bioGNV (32 standard buses and 24 articulated buses) over the period 2023-2029. As such, it was decided to build a bioGNV station at the entrance of the SIMOUV site, located on the site of the Transvilles deposit located 452 rue du Président Lécuyer, 59880 Saint-Saulve. This will allow both the charging of the buses of the network, and also to provide an alternative fuel supply to the population and above all, given the geographical positioning of the station, to the economic activities of the territory. The objective is also to respond to the context of a health crisis by offering a renewed bus fleet to users in order to get them to use public transport again, as the Covid-19 pandemic has led to a fall in traffic.
