Shared bike paths and soft links of the municipality of Frasne

In perfect coherence with the planning and territorial development tools of the Frasne Drugeon Community of Municipalities and the Pays du Haut-Doubs, the municipality of Frasne has embarked on an ambitious development of the town centre via a cycling scheme to network the TGV station, the town centre (commerce, services, housing), infrastructure, the RNR of Frasne Bouverans peatlands and tourist sites. As a tourist gateway and multimodal point of the territory, the Frasne cycling scheme is part of the network of 90 km of marked soft links that mesh the municipalities of the Frasne Drugeon territory and facilitate access to tourist sites. In 2020-2021, the municipality of Frasne wants to continue the development of soft links on two structuring axes: The Rue de Bellevue and the access to the ski chalet, site of outdoor activities four seasons, and the road of Suchal which joins the Tourbières de Frasne Bouverans. As part of the Vélo Jurassic Tours product developed at the scale of 12 EPCI of the Massif du Jura, Frasne will be a starting point and rental of quality electric bikes. The project’s challenges are cross-cutting: facilitate access to public facilities, promote intermodality through gentle pathways, reduce GHG emissions and car use, increase the attendance and promotion of tourist sites by improving their accessibility, boost the tourism economy through the Jurassic Tours bike project.
