The project consists of connecting Montbéliard to the bottom of Bethoncourt by a clean greenway. The future bike lane will thus connect the intersection and the Gambetta car park located at the entrance to the town of Montbéliard in the centre of Bethoncourt, passing through the commercial zone of Prussia. The purpose of the cycle link is to develop home-to-work journeys and will allow the connection between several types of transport (cars, cycles), in the service of intermodality. It will also connect structuring equipment such as commercial equipment (ZAC of Prussia), Guynemer College, Gambetta Primary School, Bethoncourt Town Hall and sports facilities (sports platform) of the municipality. This operation, which consists of linking the North of Montbéliard (Gambietta crossroads) to the heart of the city of Bethoncourt, constitutes the first tranche of a global project which consists of 2 tranches: — Tranche 1 (subject of the grant application): the route consists of a clean site cycle path of 3 meters wide and 2 km long, which will be positioned along the RD 438 and the Lizaine. The future bike lane will connect the intersection and parking lot Gambetta located at the entrance to the town of Montbéliard in the centre of Bethoncourt. — Tranche 2: development of a section along the Avenue des Allies, linking in particular the Gambetta crossroads with the Multimodal Exchange Pole.
