The association Sainte-Agnès, whose purpose is to welcome and accompany people weakened by disability, age or illness, acquired in March 2019 a building of 3 levels called “the cases” in the commune of Fontaine. Former home for the elderly, this building is outdated and very energy-consuming. The project consists of the energy rehabilitation of this building to improve its comfort and significantly reduce energy consumption. Once renovated, this building will accommodate the services and activities of the association and its partners: family and social care service, protection service for adults, microcrèche, medical and social support, cultural activities and promoting social diversity and encounters with people weakened by disability. This operation is part of an Integrated Territorial Investment (iTi) of Grenoble Alpes Métropole: The Alpes Mail Cachin district in Fontaine benefits from a regional urban renewal programme without ANRU intervention. The project of the association Ste-Agnès meets the objective of improving the housing and living environment of the neighborhood. It targets people with mental disabilities, adults under protection, parents who adhere to the microcrèche and their children and more generally the inhabitants of the neighbourhood who will be able to benefit from the activities offered by the structure.
