As part of the action programme of the Green and Blue Contract 2020-2025 “Parc Livradois-Forez – Bassinant de la Dore” (CVB Dore), the Conservatoire d’Espaces Naturels Auvergne (CEN Auvergne) has proposed the implementation of a project “Actions to Preserve Natural Environments of the Dore Watershed” in favour of the long-term preservation of different natural habitats characteristic of the Central Massif, such as peat bogs, old forests and herbaceous open environments. This intermilious project concerns these three natural environments characteristic of the Massif Central. This project brings together four actions on the Dore Basin: Preservation of the peatlands of the Hautes-Chaumes du Forez, Acquisition of islands of old forests, Safeguard of a network of prevergers of the Livradois-Forez and Reconquest of prairial environments of the Reblats valley. This project “Actions to Preserve Natural Environments in the Dore Watershed” corresponds to the first phase of implementation of these actions over the period 2020-2022.
