TCSP of the Agglomeration Centre Littoral – Phase 1

The first infrastructure of this type in French Guiana, the CACL’s Clean Site Collective Transport project represents the first phase of a 20 km TCSP network, which will connect Matoury and Rémire-Montjoly to the capital city, Cayenne, and will constitute the basic reinforcement of the transport network. Beyond that, the project is essential for the structuring of the agglomeration around a reliable transport network and the rationalisation of the costs of the public transport network. In addition, the TCSP will not only make it possible to open up the districts prioritised by the city’s policy, to relieve the hyper-centre of the heart of the city-capital, to allow the inhabitants to have an efficient public transport system, but will also constitute, in the current economic context, the largest public procurement project in the territory in the short term. CACL’s TCSP project consists of the creation of two High Level of Service (BHNS) bus lines with lengths close to 5.6 km for lines A and B. The project will be implemented in two phases: first, the construction of line A (terminus Maringouins in Matoury) and the bus depot, which is the subject of this request for funding for the 2014-2020 programming period. Then, the construction of Line B (Mont-Lucas Terminus in Remire-Montjoly) which will be formally the subject of a separate funding request under the 2021-2027 programming period.
