The Territorial Community of Guyana intends to deploy a public initiative network (RIP) FttH (Fibre à la maison) to connect the inhabitants to the very high-speed internet. The project involves the realisation of 9540 FttH catches in the municipality of Saint-Laurent du Maroni, including 5,427 taken before the end of 2023 and 4,113 additional catches by the end of 2026. Where appropriate, additional catches may be required depending on the address statement. The CTG decides to entrust the creation of this network of public initiative to a concessionaire who will be responsible, under a contract lasting 25 years, to design, finance, realise and operate the said network.
