The Territorial Community of Guyana intends to deploy a public initiative network (RIP) FttH (Fibre à la maison) to connect the inhabitants to the very high-speed internet. The project involves the realisation of 5,380 FttH catches in the municipalities of Apatou, Mana, Iracoubo, Awala-Yalimapo, Sinnamary, including 1,847 taken before the end of 2023 and 3533 additional catches by the end of 2026. Where appropriate, additional catches may be required depending on the address statement. The CTG decides to entrust the creation of this network of public initiative to a concessionaire who will be responsible, under a contract lasting 25 years, to design, finance, realise and operate the said network.
