Lake Guery is located in the department of Puy-de-Dôme, at 1246 meters above sea level. It extends over 25 ha over the communes of Mount Dore, Perpezat, Orcival and Saulzet the cold. C is a mountain lake of volcanic origin that was enhanced by the creation of a dam at the beginning of the 20th century. Classified site, and ZNIEFF type 1, this site is of great interest especially from a landscape point of view. Its fame makes it an emblematic place of the Massif Central. In view of the quality of this site and in order to preserve it, the Department of Puy-de-Dôme acquired from EDF. This acquisition will preserve this iconic natural site and make it the 23 rd ENS of the Department. The signature of the final deed of sale is scheduled for winter 2020.
