The construction of a 25 m high climbing hall, in the heart of the former industrial site of DMC, in the enclosure of a building whose roof had burned, responds to the growing demand for a place to practice climbing in the area. This establishment, open to all, is the result of the dream of a sports enthusiast, the efforts of communities (m2A, Région Grand Est, Ville de Mulhouse) to preserve and revalue their industrial heritage and the architectural work site of a lover of the site. The climbing room of the DMC site is perhaps for a time the highest climbing hall in France, making it a lighthouse for the development of the site, but it is also and above all a place with unique architecture, respectful of the industrial heritage of the Region, where climbers of all ages, backgrounds and levels can come and practice their passion together or discover one.
