Axon Cable Group provides electrical and electronic equipment to its aerospace and space customers, with complex property requirements. Aluminium is of particular interest, due to its lightness and properties. However, it is a difficult weldable material whose solutions currently used do not offer all the desired performance. The aim of the SOLANACEE project is therefore to develop nanosecond laser welding in an industrial way on Axon Cable application cases. It is therefore necessary to investigate, better understand the mechanisms in force on a scientific approach and also to carry out all the characterisations necessary to ensure that this process is used in production. Axon Cable, headquartered in Montmirail, Marne, is associated with IREPA LASER (Illkirch) and the Jean Lamour Institute (Nancy), making a project of interest to the whole of the Grand Est. The overall project is supported by the Region and the work of the various partners is also supported by the ERDF on the ERDF-ESF 2014-2020 programmes in Lorraine and Champagne.
