The WASH Mobile Teams Project operation aims to: — Improve the management of water points and access conditions to people’s hygiene – To raise public awareness of good practices in the face of vector diseases, COVID19 and waterborne diseases To combat the progression of the Covid19 epidemic, fountains will be made free (60) to increase the availability of drinking water in spontaneous housing districts. The number of points is sufficient, but it is necessary to organise teams to accompany the populations to the proper use of these water points (small facilities for the disposal of runoff water), cleaning containers and respecting barrier gestures. The WASH mobile team project proposes to position agents in the field to improve the management of water points, to accompany people when they have access to the fountain terminals, to ensure the right conditions of access on site, as well as the hygiene of the populations; and to raise public awareness of best practices on vector diseases and COVID19. Mobile teams in collaboration with local health associations and stakeholders will also carry out activities to distribute hygiene kits and raise awareness of good behaviour in order to prevent the spread of Covid19 outbreaks, dengue fever and waterborne diseases.
