The overall objective of the project is to complete and modernise an infrastructure in the field of waste, with investments that will lead to the realisation, at county level, of an integrated management system, which will achieve the minimum standards of compliance with the legislative requirements in the EU environmental sector, as well as the fulfilment of the commitments Romania has undertaken by the Accession Treaty. At the same time, it is aimed at: —Developing a sustainable waste management system at county level, by improving waste management and reducing the number of polluted areas. —Increasing environmental and living standards at county level, mainly aimed at complying with the environmental acquis communautaire. The general objective of the Technical Assistance project is to develop the necessary technical and economic documentation in order to submit the financing application for the project: “Efficient waste management in the non-hazardous waste landfill in Ghizela commune, in order to accelerate the transition to the circular economy” for the further development of the waste infrastructure from European funds for the programming period 2014-2020 By preparing the project to be proposed for financing under Priority Axis 3 of the Operational Programme Large Infrastructure is aimed at promoting investments in the waste sector in order to comply with the provisions of the European acquis and the commitments assumed by the environmental sector.
