Integrated thermal energy supply system, using renewable sources of biomass, biogas, at local level in Seleus commune, Arad county

The overall objective of the project INTEGRAT SYSTEM OF THETERMIC ENERGY SYSTEM, USING REGENERABLE SOURCE OF BIOMAS, BIOGAZ, IN LOCALITY, is the production and distribution of thermal energy, using renewable biomass sources, in order to reduce CO2 emissions. The aim of the investment is to improve the quality of air, water and soil by reducing the pollution caused by the combustion of fossil fuels used for the production of thermal energy, stimulating the use of systems that use in this respect renewable, clean energy sources, reducing the amount of fuel used and reducing the financial costs of thermal energy. Thus, it is intended to create a biogas station for the production of thermal energy and electricity in cogeneration, with an installed capacity of 1 MW – electric and 1 MW – thermal, the construction of a biomass plant with an installed capacity of 1 MW – thermal, the realisation of a 1.8 km heat transmission network and the realisation of a heat distribution network, using pre-insulated pipelines, in length of 12.9 km, the project contributing major to the achievement of specific objective 6.1, namely to increase the production of energy from less exploited renewable resources (biomass, biomass, geothermal), production/distribution. The liop strategy focuses on sustainable growth by promoting a low-carbon economy through energy efficiency measures and promoting green energy, as well as by promoting environmentally friendly modes of transport and a more efficient use of resources. Liop addresses development needs in four sectors: transport infrastructure, environmental protection, risk management and adaptation to climate change, energy and energy efficiency, contributing to the Union’s strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, by financing 4 of the 11 thematic objectives of Regulation No 1303/2013. Due to the fact that through this project we want to implement a solution for the supply of thermal energy for heating in a centralised system based on renewable energy sources, the project also contributes to the achievement of thematic objective no. 4 by supporting the production of energy from renewable sources, energy efficiency measures, the introduction of smart technologies.
