REHABILITATION OF THE GUERY PURIFICATION STATION IN THE TERRITORY OF THE CITY OF ANSE-BERTRAND

The studies carried out by the Office de l’Eau Guadeloupe on the whole department have made it possible to highlight the many problems in the area of sanitation. Indeed, a very large number of the equipment listed are not to the standards or still non-existent. In the territory of North Grande-Terre, two works require priority action: the treatment plant of Château Gaillard au Moule and that of Guéry in Anse-Bertrand. Indeed, the Guéry wastewater treatment plant is a work that has never been put into service and today creates real environmental nuisances given its degraded state. Such a situation cannot remain in the state, since it constitutes a major damage to the environment on the one hand, but also generates significant costs, in particular because of the obligation to use hydrocuring trucks to compensate for the malfunctions of this municipal structure. In order to meet its obligations, the Syndicat Mixte de Gestion de l’Eau et de l’Easinissement de Guadeloupe presents here the project for the construction of an Epuration Station of filters planted with plants, this type of work having already proved its worth at the Duval site on the territory of the city of Petit-Canal.
