The sewerage network in the Pointe d’Or sector north of the Abymes consists of pipes laid in the bed of the ravine. This area is divided into two east and west parts separated by the road to Palais Royal. The Master Plan of Sanitation reports strong intrusions of clear, permanent parasitic water and recommends abandoning the network placed in the ravine on both sides. These intrusions stem mainly from the dilapidated pipes that were highlighted by television inspections carried out in 2012. The network of the western part has been the subject of several obstructions requiring hydrocuring made difficult due to its positioning on the edge of the ravine. In addition, this network is laid deeply, which also complicates any maintenance intervention. This problem involves the abandonment and reconfiguration of wastewater networks in the Pointe d’Or Sector (West Party) north of the Abymes. Thus, to have an exploitable network (accessible for its maintenance whatever the external conditions) and properly sized, it is necessary to lay the pipes out of the ravine. The operation requires the following actions: — The carrying out of technical studies. — The setting up of a discharge station, – Reconfiguration works These actions will reduce the intrusions of clear water parasites permanent (ECPP) and meteoric (ECM).
