Since the 2020 drought, Cape Nord has experienced difficulties in maintaining the continuity of drinking water distribution service. In addition to the work already undertaken, numerous leak repairs carried out by the operator, the pipes serving certain dwellings are prone to water losses due to leaks that are difficult to detect; some networks are ageing, at the end of life and undersised for the number of dwellings in the sector. The operator asked the Community about the status of the network reporting the repair of recurring leaks over the last two years. Thus CAP NORD has undertaken work to strengthen and modernise drinking water distribution networks. The work on strengthening and modernising distribution covers the following sectors: — Reservoir La Ferme – RD 24bis in Sainte-Marie – Impasse Man Dodo – Eudorait in Sainte-Marie – Quartier Demare in Basse-Pointe – Route de Belfond au Carbet – Impasses de la Verdure et du Feuillage au Carbet.
