The Centre Hospitalier de Kourou, a public institution since 1 January 2018, is an essential establishment in the French Guiana care offering landscape. The first buildings of the structure date back to 1965, the year it opened. Since then, the CHK has continued to grow and evolve its infrastructure in order to maintain them, modernise them in order to ensure quality care for its patients. Given the weather impacts on the building and the constantly renewed need to comply, both with the regulations and the standards of care, the needs for modernisation of the CHK are now increased in order to renovate certain infrastructures to restore the standards of the building, comply with the regulatory requirements in force in terms of patient and equipment conditions and modernise the CHK’s care offering by equipping itself with new equipment to develop new care.
