DIGITISATION AND SECURITY OF THE HOSPITAL IT SYSTEM

The island of Mayotte consists of a single health facility consisting of a main site located in Mamoudzou, 4 peripheral reference sites (1 per health sector) and 13 primary health care sites, all grouped into a single legal entity. The central site of Mamoudzou includes the island’s only technical plateau, specialised consultations, the Emergency Department and the SAMU/SMUR. Each reference site includes external general medical consultations, an H24 emergency room and a level 1 maternity facility. As of January 1, 2022, the CHM has 400 full hospital beds (HC). The health crisis has contributed to the considerable increase in the level of cyber risk in France. In 2020, the National Information Systems Security Agency (ANSSI) reported a 255 % increase in reports of ransomware attacks. No sector is spared. Businesses, local authorities, hospitals... All are regularly targeted by criminals who constantly adapt to changing behaviors and trends on the Internet. Indeed, the acceleration of teleworking in companies, the remote monitoring of courses as well as all activities now only available remotely have gradually exposed us to cyber attacks. This observation consolidates the objectives defined in the CHM’s SI Master Plan for the period 2018-2022.
