The ‘Employment-Vacances’ scheme allows a young person to work during school or university holidays in order to gain professional experience in the territorial civil service. This operation is carried out every year during the major school holidays (July and August) in partnership with territorial administrative services and territorial public institutions. For the years 2019 and 2020, professional immersion is done on the months of July and August. The young person has professional experience for a period of one month (4 weeks), and discovers a profession in the territorial civil service. For 2021, the project evolves and opens the system on the “little holidays” of paques and coughs, i.e. a professional immersion of 2 weeks. This experience makes it possible to discover several professions, helps to expand the CV, promotes access to employment and facilitates sustainable professional integration into the labour market.
