The CHM via the Institut des Etudes en Santé wishes to train 158 people for the diploma of state nurse over the period 2017-2020. In accordance with the action sheet of OS 10.2, the training is aimed at people seeking to train or professionalise themselves in the social, medico-social or health fields. More specifically here, the training offered concerns candidates aged 17 or over who meet one of the following conditions: — Holders of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent – Or under continuing vocational training as defined by Article L. 6311-1 of the Labour Code and justifying a minimum period of three years’ contribution to a social protection scheme (students in vocational promotion). In order to join IFSI, candidates must pass the ordinary competition (Articles 11 to 23 of the Decree of 11 July 2009 on the State diploma of nurses). Since 2019, bachelor’s degree students register via Parcours Sup. The competition is maintained for students in continuing vocational training. As a reminder, the need to recruit nurses in Mayotte is estimated annually at 120 per year. The quota of students authorised in Mayotte by the Ministry of Health is 45 per year since September 2018 (previously 30 per year), including 15 students relocated to Occitania (only admitted to Parcours sup and not covered by this ESF application because financed by the CDM in return for a commitment to practice in Mayotte upon obtaining the State diploma, over a period of 3 times the duration of the funded training). The remaining 30 students are in training on Mayotte and come from either continuing vocational training (25 %) or Parcours Sup (75 %). The training of nurses is available over 3 years (36 months) with theoretical teaching periods and clinical internship periods. The institute manages 3 nursing student promotions simultaneously during each school year from September to July. There are 3 sessions for students to graduate at the end of their course: one in July (session 1), one in December (session 2) and one in March (session 3). Over the period of the operation described here (2017-2020), we therefore expect a total of 158 students/participants counted in the ESF scheme. Note that participants who entered in 2018 and 2019 will graduate in a period after 2020. The training allows to acquire and develop 10 skills necessary for the practice of the profession of nurse. Students follow a continuous check that allows them to capitalise on the 180 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System, i.e. the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) necessary to be admitted to the State Diploma to invalidate and to the Bachelor’s degree. The breakdown of 180 appropriations is as follows: Theoretical education in IFSI: 120 ECTS Clinical teaching during internships (including the health service since 2018): 60 ECTS At the end of the first year, students are able to obtain the State Caregiver Diploma issued by the DJSCS. The state diploma of nurse and the degree degree are obtained after validation of the three years in continuous control (acquisition of 180 ECTS). It is issued by the DJSCS and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (University of Reunion) for the Bachelor degree. Education is provided by both external speakers and permanent trainers.
