SECURING YOUNG PEOPLE’S PATHWAYS TO EMPLOYMENT

The purpose of the “Securing the pathways of young people to employment” operation is to promote the professional integration of young participants and prepare them for better employability by enabling them to gain a better knowledge of the work environment, to integrate the conceptual elements necessary for access to and retention in employment: knowledge and integration of company codes, for better preparation upstream and during. The network of individual and collective support remains the master tool of this operation: This year again this notion of alliance between the accompaniment that is made by an individual referent advisor on the premises of the Local Mission (or decentralised permanence) and the support that is done through collective mobilisations where one or more speakers intervene on a specific theme has its place. The work carried out in the first allows membership and participation in the second, which in turn are included in the individual interview to verify that the elements have been understood, assimilated, in order to work on the implementation. Individual accompaniment is the indispensable red thread of the action to which the prospecting and collective times undertaken are clinging to. Without him, mobilisation remains ephemeral and follow-up inefficient. Individual support consists of interviews in the office, coupled with telephone calls, SMS, emails, or any form of communication contact between the young participant and the referring advisor. remote follow-up work is very important, it represents a form of support that allows to follow the steps as and when, to revive... The PROSPECTION – Next, we hope that the referring advisor, in knowledge of the profiles he accompanies, will turn to companies and meet them to propose the profiles of the young accompanied, but also to be able to raise awareness among these same employers of the potential of this low-skilling public. The prospecting towards companies will also make it possible to sensitise employers to come to contact young people through meetings, visits, which will help the young public to have a good representation of the professions, and of the company (its requirements, its expectations vis-à-vis a candidate and an employee). This prospecting will also make it possible to set up “Temps forts” throughout the year, on the sectors concerned by young people. This prospecting is necessary to raise awareness of the services of the local mission still unknown, and to set up a collaboration. It is also necessary to better know the professions practiced in the territory, THE TIME FORTS It is part of the collective support: It can be defined as a mobilisation of several young people in a specific professional sector that brings together training professionals and the economic fabric. The aim is to bring to the most comprehensive information on the professions, to inform about training opportunities, to prepare young people for the codes and requirements of the company, and to allow matching on offers if there is. The highlights will be programmed over these two years depending on the projects carried out by young people. However, we pay particular attention to the female audience: if possible, get him to discover professional fields where he is expected for his qualities (attention, carefulness...) Among these highlights, one or more events will be scheduled in the year: Examples: — Job- dating The professions of health and assistance to the person: setting up a time and meeting space for employers – young people (will be invited by young participants): make it possible to discover the professions of health and home help, training, reforms related to... — Employment forum set up on the city of PONT A MOUSSON with the acting agencies of the local mission and particularly the referring advisor, companies, and partly concerning young participants (and others). As such, only the time devoted specifically to the participants of the operation will be counted in the setting up of the forums and in the course of the day. THE PERIPHERIC COLLECTIVES FOR EMPLOYMENT: > To work more effectively on employability, this year again, the operation emphasises the importance of digital access: equip the public with their job search by allowing them access to the necessary infrastructure (computers, internet connections within the local mission), and to guide them in the various essential sites (such as POLE EMPLOI) and those facilitators (job boards) of job search. > Work on the self-image necessary before access to employment: We want to work with the public a new element, that of the image they send back when they are looking for employment, so that they can be both in line with that expected by the employer and the one worn by the young person. This work also contributes to self-confidence. We want the intervention of a professional who can with young people identify social codes through clothing, appearance, attitude, measurement of discrepancies,
