The Académie des Dalons project proposes, in Réunion, a structuring pedagogical approach for post adolescents and young adults. It acts well beyond the simple imperatives of combating degradation and for survival. Proposing a permanent formative confrontation of young volunteers to reality, it is an approach that integrates at the same time: the development of the technical skills and knowledge necessary for the socially permissible realisation of their aspirations in this world, the behavioral requirement that builds and nourishes for life their personal systems of values, and the awareness of actively participating in a social reality that gives meaning to their existence and will make them responsible citizens. The gateway is volunteering, this action is aimed at young people who are less qualified and who are furthest away from traditional integration schemes who wish to be actively involved in an integration process.
