2021 – ACI Envie Nord: Return to employment of long-term jobseekers through re-use of household appliances

Contracted Atelier et Chantier d’Insertion, Envie Nord is a specialised association for the collection and repair of household appliances. The association recruits each year, through fixed-term integration contracts of up to 2 years (CDDI) between 70-80 long-term unemployed (65 people in 2020), mainly women and men receiving minimum social benefits, of which the RSA (50 % of employees in integration are beneficiaries of the RSA in 2020). These face serious social and professional problems (housing, mobility, over-indebtedness, mastery of basic knowledge, justice, health, etc.) The project of the association is broken down into 2 actions with close content but with different localisation: an action on the Tourcoing workshop and an action on the Raismes workshop. To carry out its mission, the association relies on a fine knowledge of the territory and privileged partnerships with the local authorities (Departmental Council of the North), the public employment service (employment agencies, local missions, employment houses, PLIE, etc.) that plays the role of prescribers, residents of the territory (employees and/or clients of the association) associations (partners for the resolution of social and professional issues), social donors, health professionals, training organisations and companies (clients, patrons and follow-up for employees in integration). The objective of the project is to prioritise the following: 1. an ambitious and innovative return to employment programme that is reflected in the emphasis placed on training and job placement (re-employment, sales, logistics, administration) aimed at exits through sustainable employment (CDI, CDD of more than 6 months) and transitional (training, continuation of IAE pathways). Over the project period, the association will ensure that: support employees in removing barriers to employment through the various actions implemented by the structure, in partnership with local associations and the Vitamine T Campus. The latter, in conjunction with CISP, offers employees on journeys within Envie Nord to carry out an initial assessment of their mastery of basic knowledge, their level of FLE and their knowledge of digital tools. Each employee is then offered a training course adapted to his needs. Several routes will be possible: French as a foreign language; mastery of basic knowledge; learning permits; Employment workshops (CVs, professional codes and attitudes, simulations of interviews, occupations in tension, etc.). This course engineering adapted to the needs of the person thus makes it possible to strengthen the quality and efficiency of the accompaniment courses by promoting the removal of professional brakes. go further on digital: the coronavirus pandemic has identified great inequalities in the control of digital tools, pointing to the importance of situations of illectronism, especially among people far from employment. Today, knowing how to use basic digital resources (Internet, word processing …) has become almost as indispensable as knowing how to read, write and count, at a time when digital is becoming indispensable. Envie Nord therefore wishes to go further in its support program, focusing on the use and mastery of digital technology to make digital a lever in their return to employment (valorise your skills on the Pôle Emploi site, manage your job search with your mobile, receive job offers continuously and in real time), but also access rights (health insurance, CAF, taxes). With the support of the resources of the Vitamin T Campus (educational engineer, trainers, educational tools, etc.), Envie Nord will diagnose the mastery of the basic digital skills of employees on the journey, and will then be able to offer them workshops adapted to their needs: know how to use a smartphone; participate in a videoconference; download and use applications such as “My Employment Pole”, Zoom, etc. to facilitate the appropriation of the codes of the world of work by putting in a work situation and the immediate and direct confrontation with concrete examples of other companies (visualisation of jobs, working conditions and its associated constraints; testimonials and exchanges with employees on the operation of the company and its obligations, sponsorship of companies, etc.) build a path of (re)mobilisation and intensive and iterative (and non-linear) integration, which multiplies the professional experience within the association itself and exploits all the possible feedback from the situation of situations on different positions (revalorists, disinfection agents, delivery workers, logistician, salesmen, administrative agent) to develop or rework the professional project of the employee on the basis of skills revealed by the participant during the course. This professional project is realistic (in line with the potential of the participant, the requirements of the employer companies and the needs of the territory) and adjusted according to the experiences car
