Socio-professional integration of villagers away from employment and suffering from isolation reinforced by the Covid19 crisis

The health crisis will have brought out among a significant part of the French population the desire for a better quality of life, more sustainable, more solidarity, and the need for positive prospects for the future. This project is an in-depth continuation of two dynamic actions in the territories, previously implemented that meet these expectations. One concerns the integration project within the village Sainte Rose de Lima in Matoury; the other is the support of villagers who carry out tourism projects, particularly affected by the Covid crisis. In addition to having a direct positive impact on their beneficiaries, these two actions also contribute directly to the valorisation and attractiveness of the territory. Action A – SOCIOPROFESSIONAL INSERTION OF THE HABITANTS OF THE VILLAGE “ST ROSE DE LIMA” BY THE BIAIS OF A CHANTIER OF INSERTION IN ENTERTIEN OF GREEN AND PEPINIERE SPACES The association Peupl’en Harmonie promotes the common well-being of the inhabitants of Sainte Rose de Lima by working on landscaping and the development of a nursery. In addition to a refresh on basic knowledge, we accompany our employees in integration by carrying out their socio-professional support, their training and their professionalisation in the field of landscaping. The valorisation of traditional Native American know-how is at the heart of our concerns through the techniques used and the objectives pursued (example: the use of forest plants and products). At the end of this Atelier Chantier d’Insertion, let us foresee positive exits (enterprise creation or salaried jobs) so that each of the employees reintegrates into professional life, thus valuing the skills acquired during this ACI. The objectives of Action A are therefore to: The continuation of the support of the 8 employees in integration in Ste Rose de Lima until March 2022; The continuation of the ACI with 8 new employees from the village “Ste Rose de Lima” ACTION B – INSERTION OF VILLAGEOIS ELOIGNES OF EMPLOYMENT AND ISOLES BY THE CRISE COVID BY an ACCOMPAGNEMENT TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THEIR PROJECT OF CREATION OF A TOURISTIC ACTIVITY Based on its experience and the relationship of trust established in the villages of Guyana, our association supports the owners of tourism projects. By taking advantage of local assets, the aim here is to usefully complement the existing tourist offer and offer tourists tourist offers that value local skills and create jobs and local development in territories that offer little opportunity for professional integration. A first survey work had been carried out in several Guyanese villages and a start of accompaniment of the inhabitants carrying these tourism projects was then set up from 2021. The aim of this scheme is to accompany the inhabitants of villages very far from employment and suffering from isolation due to the COVID crisis, to create tourism products and activities based on their own knowledge and skills in order to enable them to integrate professionally directly into their village. The objectives of Action B are therefore to: The resumption of a pre-accompaniment of the promoters of village tourism projects to bring out their ideas and projects Individualised accompaniment and professionalisation of at least 20 inhabitants of rural villages towards the creation of tourist activity: jobseekers (inhabitant of different villages) in the field of tourism and traditional know-how (culture and use of plants and forest products, handicrafts …).
