2022 React EU – ACI Envie Nord: Return to employment of long-term jobseekers through re-use of household appliances

Contracted Atelier et Chantier d’Insertion, Envie Nord is an association specialised in the collection and repair of household appliances. The association recruits each year, through fixed-term integration contracts of up to 2 years (CDDI) between 70-80 long-term unemployed (72 people in 2021), and in particular women and men receiving the RSA (43 % of employees in integration in 2021). They face serious social and professional problems (housing, mobility, over-indebtedness, mastery of basic knowledge, justice, health, etc.) The project of the association is broken down into 2 actions with close content but with different localisation: an action on the Tourcoing workshop and an action on the Raismes workshop. To carry out its mission, the association relies on a fine knowledge of the territory and privileged partnerships with the local authorities (Departmental Council of the North), the public employment service (employment agencies, local missions, employment houses, PLIE, etc.) that plays the role of prescribers, residents of the territory (employees and/or clients of the association) associations (partners for the resolution of social and professional issues), social donors, health professionals, training organisations and companies (clients, patrons and follow-up for employees in integration). As part of this new call for projects, and in order to best support the public furthest away from employment in the Roubaix/Tourcoing and Valenciennes basins, our project will be based on the following key success factors: High social impact: targeted audiences, teams with complementary expertise, an individualised methodology of social support, job coaching and training An operational excellence on the business-support of the repair of household appliances, with a production tool sized to meet the requirements of customers The ability to accompany the rise in technical skills of the recipients on the journey to facilitate their return to employment on future occupations The project will prioritise the following elements: 1. an ambitious and innovative return to employment programme that is reflected in the emphasis placed on training and job placement (re-employment, sales, logistics, administration) aimed at exits through sustainable employment (CDI, CDD of more than 6 months) and transitional (training, continuation of IAE pathways). Over the project period, the association will ensure that: Support employees in their development of skills, through various training actions implemented by the structure, in partnership with local associations and training organisations: Basic knowledge: with the support of the Vitamin T Campus, employees on the journey will be able to carry out an initial assessment of their know-how and know-how, and will then be offered a training course adapted to their needs: mastery of basic knowledge, FLE, Learning Permit … Digital: the COVID-19 crisis has highlighted the important digital career needs of employees. In response, the Vitamin T Campus has created training workshops on basic digital skills, and has trained Envie Nord CISPs in the diagnosis of these skills for our employees in integration. In 2022, depending on their needs, employees will be able to participate in these workshops (know how to use a smartphone; participate in a videoconference; download and use applications such as ‘My Employment Pole’, manage your job search from a mobile device; etc.) Qualifying and pre-qualifiing training: particular emphasis will be placed on electrical empowerment. Depending on their needs and their professional project, employees will also be able to follow a CACES route, driving license, heavyweight license, etc. Electrodomestic: In partnership with ACTIF, CFA specialising in electrodomestics, employees of Envie Nord will also be able to follow continuing training activities on the technical plateau of Valenciennes or within the workshop-school of Lomme. In addition, employees wishing to do so will be able to integrate dual training within ACTIF at the end of their career (connected appliance technician-services, after-sales technician in household appliances and audiovisual at home, etc.) To facilitate the appropriation of the codes of the world of work by putting in a work situation and the immediate and direct confrontation with concrete examples of other companies (visualisation of jobs and working conditions; testimonials and exchanges with employees on the operation of the company and its obligations, sponsorship of companies, etc.). Undermined during the last 2 years of the pandemic, immersions will again be deployed with the support of the CISP business network Build an intensive and iterative (and non-linear) process of (re)mobilisation and integration, which multiplies the professional experience within the association itself and exploits all the possible feedback from the situation of situations in different positions (revalorists, disinfection agents, delivery workers,
