Project – Training and personalised support for associative beneficiaries The core of the activities of the Pôle Ressources de Guiana is the training and personalised support of existing and emerging associative beneficiaries of the artistic and cultural sector of Guyana. We help them in their efforts to professionalise and structure their activity (rights, duties and obligations) and their artistic project (production, dissemination, etc.). We also train them and accompany them to become an employer. 1.1 Method The accompaniment begins with a first appointment to make a diagnosis, to define the expectations and needs of the associative beneficiaries. This results in the definition of priorities and achievable objectives as well as a provisional timetable. Thereafter, each working appointment (present or distancing) is dedicated to a specific point. We train them and explain to them precisely and concretely the procedure to follow in order to carry out the various steps of structuring their project and/or their moral structure. We help them in their work, drafting and drawing up documents or projects. We also make relaunches and follow-up on these. Thematic examples of working session: Understanding the legal and social environment of the artistic and cultural sector, Creating its moral structure Change the APE/NAF code of its association Modify its statutes to become a live performance employer Request a grant Define and formalise your project Write your association’s statutes, Request your SIRET number, Apply for a licence as a show entrepreneur, Understanding and applying labour law, Hiring intermittent or permanent employees, understanding and responding to a call for projects, Making an artistic file, Understanding and applying copyright, Request a grant, Know the sources of funding, Use spreadsheets (excel and free office), Develop a budget, Understanding the taxation of artists/authors, Understanding and implementing associative/project accounting, Diffusing a work Design mediation around an artistic or cultural project, Pitching your project, etc. We provide many models and practical resources (statut, contract, analytical budget, etc.) to facilitate their approaches. We then proceed to proofread the documents in order to make personalised feedback on the work produced (e.g.: artistic file of creation, grant application, etc.) for those who wish. The aim is to empower them and develop their knowledge and skills during joint work sessions because the best learning remains the practice. Each associative beneficiary has a particular level of knowledge and skills, so it is necessary to constantly adapt to answer their questions. Aware of the problems and constraints of the associative beneficiaries of the artistic and cultural sector (multiactivity, toured travel, remoteness, family constraints, etc.), we are committed to offering support that is as suitable as possible for project leaders: physical appointment, telephone, video, message, WhatsApp voice, email exchange, tracking cards, etc. The goal is that they work on their structuring, professionalisation and project at their own pace. We noticed that this support greatly reassures beneficiaries about their ability to do, their professional legitimacy and even the quality of the work provided. Faced with the administrative mountain that this type of company can represent when we are novice, our role is also to make them take confidence, help them to enter into the professional logics and make them step by step towards their goal with pedagogy and benevolence. The project is also to propose an annual professional meeting for the associative beneficiaries of our trainings and accompaniments in order to promote the inter-knowledge, dynamics and synergies of the professional sector. In this way, they will be able to discuss their common problems and think together about solutions. The networking of the actors in the process of structuring and those already in place is essential for their professional development. The theme of this professional meeting will focus on 2023 funding. It will be a question of taking an overview of the funding that exists to present them and exchange around the issue of project financing. Each participant will be invited to share their experience to feed others. This meeting of about 4 hours will be organised in a friendly context. We will provide the meal to the participants.
