Within the framework of the global resourcing of ALPhANOV, linked to the valorisation of photonic technologies, the XPulse project aims to develop an innovative system of medical X-ray imaging using intense lasers of high medium power for application in the early detection of breast cancer. This system will have to demonstrate the relevance of the technique by improving the contrast and resolution of images, reducing the deposited dose, improving diagnosis (reduction of false negatives and discrimination of false positives) and improving patient comfort (breast compression-free imaging).
