The LPO and its partners in the Outarde duckpetière network is engaged in an extensive program of study and protection of the Outarde duckpetière in New-Aquitaine. This threatened species is the subject of a National Action Plan, whose migratory population of the Central West (whose three-quarters of the population are present in New-Aquitaine) is on the verge of extinction. The objective of this program is to continue the annual monitoring of the species, to experiment with the drone for the research of females and the implementation of emergency measures, to analyse the data acquired over many years on the basis of the CNRS of Chizé and to draft a new NAP and to implement it, particularly in New-Aquitaine.
