ERDF – UNICAEN – PROTEOQUANT – PLATFORM

The equipment requested is a triple quadripole mass spectrometer dedicated to absolute quantification with high throughput type MRM (Multiple Reaction Monitoring). In this mode of operation, the parent ion to be studied is selected by the first analyser and fragmented in the collision cell and the second analyser is focused on the produced ion. This mode of operation has a double selectivity (parent and son ion). In addition, since both analysers are attached to constant voltages, the detection sensitivity is improved compared to other scanning modes, making MRM a mode of choice for quantification. To this end, the instrument must be equipped with an ESI (electropsay) source and be connected to a UHPLC system. A sample courier will also be requested to automate the analyses. In order to be able to analyse multiple replicas, the UPLC system will need to be robust and operate in “microLC” mode.
