The project will consist of improving the infrastructure that will allow for the long-term integration of people from Ukraine who arrived in Świdnica as a result of the armed conflict. The project will help address the challenges of childcare, education, social inclusion and housing that have emerged from the influx of refugees. The project will improve the housing infrastructure and will consist of reconstruction of vacancy for the accommodation of refugees in the building at ul. 1 May 3 (two apartments) and at ul.1 Maja 15. The premises will be delivered in the standard of social housing. Housing will provide refugees with decent housing, privacy, learning conditions for children and will stimulate their independence. In addition, the project aims to support refugees in accessing public pre-school education and primary education by improving existing educational infrastructure. These activities are extremely important in the context of the integration of children and young people into the local community. In 3 primary schools, sanitary, safety and accessibility conditions will be improved. The scope of the planned work includes: replacement of c.o., water, sewerage, sanitary, stairway reconstruction, installation of a platform for people with disabilities and strengthening fire protection. In addition, 2 teaching rooms for children in the city kindergarten will be renovated and made available. All investments will be carried out in buildings belonging to the City of Świdnica and will take into account the needs of people with disabilities. The investments will be carried out by the Municipality of Świdnica together with SP No. 4 and Municipal Preschool No. 6 – as entities implementing the project, while complying with the procedures required by law. Świdnica has experience in the implementation of EU projects, has organizational and technical facilities and qualified staff.
