Improving the energy efficiency of street lighting in the city of Łomża

The subject of the project is the replacement of energy-inefficient street lighting in Łomża with lighting characterised by increased energy efficiency, i.e. replacement of electrical luminaires with electric luminaires with LED light sources together with works accompanying: Al. Legions (236 pc.), Al. Piłsudskiego (193 pcs.), ul. Zambrowska Road (41 pc.), ul. Sikorskiego (155 pcs.) The project is located outside Natura 2000 sites. The infrastructure on which the project will be implemented, i.e. poles, booms, luminaires, are fully owned by the Applicant – the City of Łomża. The project is a stand-alone unit of analysis and covers all the tasks necessary to ensure the operationality of the project’s products immediately after the end of the material scope. The justification for choosing the technology indicated in the audits of street lighting efficiency is its compliance with Polish and European standards and the favorable value for money. The adopted solutions will make it possible to improve the energy efficiency of public space, i.e.: reduction of electricity consumption and reduction of CO2 emissions. The aim of the project is to reduce air pollution by replacing street lighting in Łomża in accordance with the low-carbon economy plan. The project complies with the PGN for the city of Łomża until 2030 and the Plan for the supply of heat, electricity and gaseous fuels for the City of Łomża for the years 2018-2033. Indicators: Amount of electricity saved as a result of lighting upgrades [MWh/year]: 274,29 Estimated annual decrease in greenhouse gas emissions (CI 34) [tonnes of CO2 equivalent]: 222,73 The project is addressed to a wide group of recipients: residents of Łomża and visitors to the city, employees of the Lomza University and indirect recipients: Public institutions.
