The subject of the project is the modernisation of street lighting in the City and Municipality of Szczuczyn. Project implementation includes replacement of luminaires and installation of energy efficient lighting in the form of 501 light points in LED technology (45 pcs. in the City of Szczuczyn and 456 pcs. in the Commune, Towns: Bęćkowo, Brzeźno, Bzury (Sofiówka hamlet), Chojnowo, Czarnowo, Czarnówek, Danowo, Dołęgi, Gutki, Jambrzyki, Koniecki Rostroszewo, Koniecki Małe, Kurki, Lipnik, Mazewo, Milewo, Niećkowo, Bears, Bears, Obrytki, Rakowo, Skaje, Sokoły, Szczuczyn, Świdry Awissa, Tarachy, Wólka, Węska, Załuski) and modernisation of 51 measuring and control points of street lighting. The planned activities are aimed at reducing emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The project will have a positive impact on the protection of the environment and human health, as well as on the quality of life, resulting in an ecological effect in the form of a reduction in CO2 of 95.67 MWh/year (which is a 62 % reduction in CO2 emissions) and a reduction in energy consumption of 117.82 MWh/year (which saves energy consumption by 62 %). Modernisation of street lighting will reduce the power of installed lighting devices and improve the quality of road lighting. An important effect of the modernisation will be a significant reduction in the energy intensity of the system through the implementation of energy-efficient lighting equipment, with the highest performance parameters, related to the reduction of energy consumption and economic effects associated with lowering the operating costs of the street lighting system. This investment is included in the drafted and adopted Low Emission Economy Plan – “The Plan for Low-Emission Economy in Szczuczyn Municipality”. The project will be implemented in the period from 31.7.2023 to 29.12.2023. The total value of the Project was set at PLN 957 012,31, eligible costs at PLN 957 012,31.
