The aim of the project is to protect biodiversity and improve the quality of life of residents by increasing accessibility to green and leisure areas, improving air quality and urban climate, and improving the appearance and aesthetics of the city. The aim of the project will be implemented by designing new green areas, revitalising existing areas and maintaining them in good condition, as well as introducing vegetation into public spaces. The implementation of the project, including the creation of pocket and linear parks, flower meadows, planting trees and shrubs, installation of small infrastructure and assembly of elements dedicated to animals, will have an impact on the protection and preservation of nature, improvement of air quality and urban climate and increasing the aesthetics of the city. The subject of the project is the development of municipal plots, which currently do not fulfil their full function because they are neglected, polluted, overgrown and inaccessible or partially inaccessible to residents. The project assumes the creation of pocket parks, linear parks, flower meadows, migration corridors, additional planting of trees and bushes. The project also plans multi-storey plantings using native species that will create migration corridors for animals. Ordering the areas, adding trees, shrubs and other plants to the existing greenery in the city will allow to increase the green areas and enable the realisation of the benefits associated with environmental protection and improvement of the quality of life. An important element of the project is also development for animals such as: cottages for insects, lagoon booths, hedgehog booths and drinking water for birds.
