The in-company apprenticeship training is part of the practical training in the trades and an important addition to the in-company training. It is necessary because, due to its small-scale structure, the craftsmanship offers very different training conditions in the individual craft enterprises. The task of ÜLU is to ensure a broad uniform basic training and specialist training at the latest technical level for every apprentice. Vocational training courses are carried out with the approved training plans in recognised vocational training institutions of the crafts. In the basic level courses, the apprentices use the example of simple customer orders to organise work processes, execute work orders professionally and in the end also control and assess them. The specialist level courses then focus on the safe handling of demanding customer orders using “high-tech” and special technologies. These vocational training institutions are assigned to the Lübeck Chamber of Crafts and the locations of the chamber district associations, associations and academies. Furthermore, participants from the Chamber District are also trained nationally in other federal states. The super-company apprenticeships are carried out by male and female teachers in the same form and in the same scope for both male and female participants, so that the teachings are carried out according to the principle of equality.
