The project “Starting in Crafts” aims to support skilled craft apprentices at the beginning of their first year of training in order to alleviate the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. In two rounds of 20 participants, apprentices are intensively accompanied during the probationary period. Funding is provided through five modules: Workshops, practical support lessons, individual coaching by an instructor; digital support via a learning platform as well as learning sponsorships. The project pursues three project objectives: 1) Improving basic school skills for at least 50 % of the TN; 2) Keep the training termination rate during the probationary period at the level of the previous year; 3) Cooperation with at least 75 % of training companies with personal contacts.
