A project under ESF Instrument 13 “PEB – Innovative Model Projects” will be funded. The purpose is the model testing of new approaches to action in the districts. The model project to be funded aims to develop and offer tailor-made solutions for participatory and equal-opportunity district development. The project is based on LOK and ExMe’s many years of experience in gathering people with diverse contexts and personal barriers about cultural engagement and entrepreneurship and opening up opportunities for social participation and inclusion. Individual guidance and anchorages are offered, key competences especially for community-oriented work outside of volunteering are offered, other employment opportunities are generated and transitions to self-employment and/or training or employment are opened by increasing competences of different natures as part of entrepreneurship training. The joint learning of soft and hard skills and their direct implementation in cultural work as well as the professionally and mentally accompanied planning of self-employment promote self-consciousness and thus facilitate labour market access.
