Active interculturally and across generations – Citizenship as a driver for integration and participation

“Intercultural and intergenerational active” in the project it is about attracting, qualifying and teaching volunteers to help improve the local environment and the opportunities for participation of different target groups, especially from the point of view of intergenerational work. _x000D_ with the project started in 2016, “Active intercultural and intergenerational” the potential of the elderly will be further developed and suitable participants and groups trained for use as multipliers, especially in the intergenerative and intercultural field. The entire project is planned for a total of five years and will continue in the funding period 2018/2019 with further module units. _x000D_ in the basic training (module A) are trained committed, even older people with and without a migration background and with their activities are made visible to the public. _x000D_ the module Intergenerative Work (Module B) comprises the training of older participants with and without a migration background in Berlin district centres, who are qualified in a module for cooperation with children and adolescents. _x000D_ in the training unit Intercultural Work (Module C) older participants with and without a migration background are qualified for intercultural cooperation in Berlin district centres in a module. _x000D_ at the beginning of the work phases in the modules are defined together with the participants in the group the respective starting situations as well as the learning objectives and developed an action plan tailored to all. Upon completion of the forty-week module, each participant will receive a qualified participant certificate based on the following indicators: Regular participation, team skills, development of intercultural competences and improvement of linguistic and playful possibilities. _x000D_
