The Empowerment Patents project promotes support for self-help and the participation of people with a migrant background. The project is aimed at 85 adult refugees who live in community shelters of the Unionshilfswerk Berlin. With the help of the sponsorship approach of 1:1 support, refugees can gain labour market-relevant skills and self-efficacy experiences through individual support. The participants will be introduced to volunteering, gain insights into various fields of action in social work and can test and develop their skills and competences.
