A project under ESF Instrument 13 “PEB – Innovative Model Projects” will be funded. The purpose is the model testing of new approaches to action in the districts. The project “Restart Nursing – Professional Orientation and Continuing Education for the Careers Care, Care, Housekeeping and Crafts” is intended to create an offer for the district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf, which enables the target group to provide vocational orientation and vocational training on the professions of care, care, housekeeping and crafts and to gain insights into the daily professional life of various institutions in this field via supervised hospitations. The target group consists of unemployed, long-term unemployed and other inactive persons with a migrant background, in particular refugees with work permits and secure residence status. The aim of the project, which is to run from June 2018 to the end of March 2021, is a professional orientation and enthusiasm for one of the job profiles, an increase in competences in the TN and an integration or placement into the labour market. It starts with a first professional orientation, followed by online and face-to-face courses and hospitations with sponsorships. The aim of all measures, which take more than 22 weeks per implementation and divided over 333 TN hours, is to provide the target group with expertise in an innovative and flexible way, to provide practical insights into everyday working life, to enable the establishment of contacts, to communicate them in companies and thus to integrate them into the world of work.
