Strong Power Stronger (SMS) – Refugees help children 16112018

The aim of the project is the further education of refugee teachers and academics in order to support them for their volunteer work & nash; Learning support for refugee children – to professionalise and at the same time support them in orientation and integration into the labour market. The participants are fully trained in terms of their voluntary work and at the same time they are prepared to work in a pedagogical profession in terms of language and subject matter. _x000D_ This one-year continuing education is modular and combines both building blocks that are essential for volunteering and supporting refugee children in the German school system, as well as for professional orientation: Education system and educational goals in Germany, children’s rights and child protection, non-violent communication, the importance of multilingualism and media literacy. The entire qualification consists of two parts. While the first phase is aimed at qualifying participants for voluntary work, the second phase focuses on labour market integration and includes both application training and placement support. An internship in a school is integrated into the qualification, so that practical experience in the German school system can be gained. _x000D_
